We arrived in a tiny township, Chillingham where the creek is called "hopping Dick" (there is a story behind this name). No, not everybody drives a Mercedes in Australia; This was an invitation to a barbecue from the Mercedes Club. Many Vintage cars turned up but also the latest super Models!
Nice to go for a spin with you!
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking us on the drive with you. I'd like to have some of that soil in my garden.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a day out and, yes, I could use some of that soil, too! Great photos! Thanks for sharing and have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI'd very much like to see a broom stick growing in that soil. ;-) The picture in my mind is very funny. And I can't imagine going to a picnic in a Mercedes. You Aussies know how to do things with style.
ReplyDeleteI loved the ride in the car! Australia is such a vast beautiful country...
ReplyDeleteSo lovely to see such happy pretty images from the more recent images we have seen of Australia.
ReplyDeleteI could use that soil too...The drive was enjoyable I bet. These are good photos.

ReplyDeleteLooked like a fun trip. Nice series of photos, too.
ReplyDeleteno pictures of the barbeque???? Every place I've ever been they make it different. Is this pork or beef? Sounds inviting anyway it's served.
ReplyDeleteLOL at the Dunny, you need to checkout my post yesterday to see something similar Okie style! Looks like a fun day out and glorius weather too.
ReplyDeleteNow that was a lovely ride and equally lovely photos. Where I lived in Devon the fields were made up of the red soil. It looked beautiful in photos. I was always told they were the most fertile fields a farmer could ever wish for and now you have confirmed it :)
ReplyDeleteNothing like a posh country picnic, and what could be posher than a heap of Mercs.!
ReplyDeleteThat looks to be great soil for spuds or as you say anything else.
I am sure it was a great trip..
ReplyDeleteWonderful cars and good soil, what else can be better?
Love fast cars and our MB SLK 350:)
