My World; Australia;

Glimpses of the Ecovillage in the Currumbin Valley. It has won a world award for its Green approach. The Village is surrounded by a sanctuary for wildlife. Cats and dogs are not allowed, because of all the native animals which roam the village freely.

  6. How do they keep wild cats, dogs and foxes out I wonder. A great idea though.

  7. EG Tour Guide; in Australia are a few of this type villages. They have a great community spirit.
    Guy, Robert,Janie,Sarah, Yes it is a unique place, all native plants, but also community fruit trees, lots of green space and lovely pathways for strolls or with the bike. the houses have to be build with a certain amount of recycled materials.

  8. Arija, I don't know. People who live there are not allowed to keep cats and dogs, but they are allowed a few chickens. In winter I go for walks there without Billy, he is not allowed to come. I take my camera instead!

  9. I love this idea. And what lush scenery. I might have problems with the "no pets" rule, yet can certainly understand why.
